Sasma 2025 Year in Review
A Message to Our Partners
2025 has been a year of solid progress for Sasma. As global markets continued to shift, our focus remained on reliability, quality and building a stronger foundation for long-term growth. Below is a summary of the key developments that shaped our year and what they mean for our customers and industry partners.
Sasma Halsteren Facility: On Track for April 2026
This year marked major progress on Sasma’s new warehouse facility in Halsteren. Construction advanced steadily, stainless-steel tanks have now been installed along with significant infrastructure and automation work.
Tank storage includes:
- 26 x 35,000 litre tanks
- 2 x 100,000 litre mixing tanks
- 1 x reverse osmosis filter and water tank - for dilution
Once operational, the facility will provide:
- In-house blending, mixing, and dilution capabilities
- Customized formulations built to precise specifications
- Improved turnaround times and operational flexibility
- Full traceability across storage and production
- Re-pack options (example - Tanks to IBC's)
- Expanded packaging options, including smaller batch formats
- We will hold Kosher and Organic certifications for our alcohol
- Alcohol to include a wide range of both food and non-food products
Halsteren represents a long-term investment in service, capacity and supply chain resilience. The site is expected to be fully operational in April 2026.

Navigating Global Market Shifts
This year brought several changes in international trade conditions, including evolving duties and regulatory adjustments.
Sasma followed these developments closely and adapted sourcing strategies to maintain continuity and clarity for customers.
Our team supported partners with insights into:
- Neutral alcohol market dynamics
- Availability of ENA and 99% anhydrous alcohol
- Shifting trade flows and supply chain considerations
Our aim remains to offer stable, dependable solutions in this fast changing environment.

Growing Demand for RTD and Spirit-Based Products
Although the spirits industry faced major headwinds this year, the market for RTD beverages and spirit-based products continued to expand throughout 2025.
Producers sought reliable inputs for new product development, including:
- Neutral alcohol
- Rum, whisky, gin, and agave spirits
Sasma supported this growth by supplying a diverse range of alcohols suited to emerging and established brands and bottlers. This category is expected to continue its upward momentum into 2026. And we look forward to helping partners with tailor blends as we prepare for our Halsteren facility.

Our Commitment to Community and Sustainability
Sasma believes that business and responsibility go hand in hand. In 2025, we continued supporting initiatives that create long-term, tangible impact in education, sustainability and local communities.
Building forests with Wood You Care
This year, Sasma’s forests grew to more than 4,500 trees across Brazil, Indonesia and Kenya, contributing to local employment and the reduction of approximately 90 tons of CO₂.

Three-Year Partnership with Edukans
We began a new three-year collaboration with Edukans to improve access to quality education. The partnership supports programmes that help young people build skills and opportunities for a more sustainable future.

Supporting Education in Colombia with Providencia
Through Providencia Centro de Formación Integral, we helped strengthen access to education for children from low-income families, supporting their long-standing mission of creating opportunities for the next generation.

Local Impact in Africa
Sasma funded the production of 125 school desks and benches for a local school, improving learning conditions for approximately 500 students.
Looking ahead, we plan to support the construction of five water wells in the region to expand access to clean drinking water.

Looking Ahead to 2026
With the Halsteren facility approaching completion, strengthened supply partnerships and continued investment in our business capabilities and systems, Sasma enters 2026 well-positioned to deliver more flexibility, improved service and greater value to customers worldwide.
Our priority remains the same: providing high-quality alcohol solutions supported by reliability, partnership and technical consistency.

Thank You
We appreciate the trust placed in Sasma throughout 2025.
As we move into 2026, we look forward to supporting your projects, strengthening collaboration and continuing to grow together.
